Embarking upon property development and construction projects readily necessitates a sizeable financial commitment for any business or individual, often being a daunting experience having regard for the plethora of unknowns and inherent lack of certainty in consequence.

Acting as a development and construction project monitoring pre requisite, our proposal feasibility assessments seek to collate all available project information at the outset, such as proposal drawing and specification information, the status of statutory approval matters, project team particulars to determine competence and experience, insurance details, guarantee proposal, contract documentation and costs. This information is then transposed into a concise, organised and succinct project feasibility assessment, presenting client with a 'traffic light' summary of the perceived applicable risk factors.

As chartered building surveyors and project managers, our complex project design and specification (architectural services) capability affords our team unparalleled knowledge and understanding of construction design principles, methods and quality standards. Through regular inspection at appropriate intervals and key construction stages, our expertise is applied to ensure the great potential for shortcomings during the build process is mitigated, alleviating the risk of patent and latent defect development.

Monitoring of contract document and statutory approval adherence is further complimented by works duration forecast (programme) assessment during the course of each inspection and subsequence report preparation. These insights act to ensure any scheme deviation or variation is managed, approved or corrected in good time. The potential for delay of construction projects and unfavourable cost permutations in consequence is inherently high, but onward risk reduced through monitoring by way of early observation. Production of reports for client review ensure all parties are informed and communication can be had to overcome potentially over wise impassible hurdles that might later transpire.

Our assessment of contractor works valuations, both at interim and Practical Completion stages, protects clients and wider stakeholders from heightened exposure to risk, as may be otherwise suffered should sums be claimed for attendances not yet complete or unsatisfactorily completed. Matters such as yet to be satisfied pre commencement or pre occupation Planning conditions, the need for a Building Control Final Certificate or warranty procurement necessity may also impact upon the appropriateness for funding draw-downs or other means of financing to be paid over to the contractor.
